Solar Photovoltaics
The roof on EEC's home was designed with a steep 11/12 pitch at 42 degrees to provide the optimal angle for solar insolation. The south facing roof contains a combination of solar thermal collector panels and solar photovoltaic panels. Namaste Solar Electric worked with us on the design and installation of a 6 KW solar photovoltaics system for the home. The panels will provide enough electricity to power the integrated HVAC systems in the home, resulting in zero energy space conditioning and hot water. The layout and installation photos of the panels are shown below.
